I admit that these are not particularly good, but they do illustrate a sort of learning curve, as it were. If you look at the oil painting of Gwen’s Body (1993) on this site, then you will hopefully identify progression, but we all have to start somewhere.
The following life drawings were completed in very quick time. Poses by models were kept no longer than forty-five minutes (Pastels) and in some cases less than ten (Charcoal). Sometimes we were encouraged to spend only two minutes on a pose, as in the first sketch below.
